Of all the pointless paperwork I recieve in running a business, ostriches featured in the most baffling.
Recieving an unexpected letter from the VAT, I opened it to find a letter stating that due to recent changes "the importation of fertilised Ostrich eggs is now subject to VAT"
Surely it would have been more cost effective to find out everyone who dealt with Ostriches (there can't be that many) rather than hit every VAT registered business with a notice?magoo wrote:
