I thought chavs drove cars to the annoyance of you "proper" motorists.

Those statistics are meaningless unless they are related to area and topography (and maybe also popn.).

Hey, never mind about the chav cars Liz, lets just get rid of the excess chavs. You could accomplish this quite humanly ? like they do in China. Just cut chav social security benefits and handouts ? which just encourage and reward chavism. And then, have a licensing system for everyone who wants a nipper. They would have to prove they are worthy ? i.e. solvent enough to afford the considerable cost of bringing a child up properly, committed to the child, and not least, ?of good breeding stock?. This would make expensive institutions like social services redundant within a generation. Imagine all the wad we would save as a nation? Imagine and end to the heartache of burglaries and car thefts, of having your grandma beaten up and robbed as she collects her pension. Hmmm. Sound like Utopia? Probably not, but still much nicer than where we are now.

Besides, chavs are already redundant in our society. In bygone days they would have been the cannon fodder of war and colonial expansion. They would have been the manual labour of the industrial revolution and 20th century heavy industry. But that?s all gone now. China does all that for us. What we need now are thinkers ? chavs don?t fit that bill. We have no use for them any longer. They?re just hanging about causing bollocks.

Officer Dibble ? rambling on again

No sir, you are not rambling on your are speaking gospel.

Get rid of buses.

Last year the buses in Sheffield were on strike for about 3 weeks. In that time, driving around the town centre was actually pleasurable. No jams or delays, you just got to go where you wanted without a hold up.

Public transport is the problem. get rid of it.

I have more than 20 cars, actually, but as you quite rightly state I can only drive one at once, and whilst they're are not in use they are all tucked away in garages.
Rather than say "ban old cars" why don't we say you can only only have a car if you can afford to pay for it on purchase, and the subsequent running costs? That way, we wouldn't have car manufacturers churning out an excess amount of plastic fantastic's for the masses, those that have to have a car would maintain and look after car to the best of their ability no matter how old or untrendy it was and there wouldn't be chavs abandonning cars left, right & centre.
Hey, wait a minute.. that's how it used to be isn't it?

I wouldn't worry, in the long term society will disappear up it's own arse anyway. The whole world economy and it's supposed buoyancy is all based on credit, that's why there's too much of almost everything and nothing's valued or appreciated.

Gee thanks Peter. What a kind person you are. Always got the feckin motorists interests at heart.
Never mind those people who don't or can't drive.
Nothing like an item like this to smoke out the fascists.

Great idea! The abolishment of public transport will prevent most of those uncouth tourists from visiting your country too. You won't be annoyed by foreigners anymore!

Far too many people carriers and 4x4 tonka toys. What really narks me is older couples with no kids or dogs driving round in ferkin people carriers. Why? They look shit, drive crap, handle crap, lose value like a V6 Vectra and have less boot space than a normal estate.
Also 4x4 owners who slow down for speed bumps! X5 and Disco owners really get my goat, they do 12 mpg even if there is a war in the gulf over oil!
How anybody drives in a large modern city I have no idea. Maybe if the Labour/Republicans in Downing Street gave us decent public transport instead of wasting billions fighting Bush's war in Iraq.........

I have always advocated that IF you pass at 17, you MUST drive a car up to 900cc, nothing more for 2 years, if you claim on yer insurance, you stay on 900cc till you learn how to drive the fucker properly.
If you are banned, you MUST re-take yer test including the theory before you can have yer licensce back, and for any rich kids who want to bypass this rule on 'daddys insurance', then fine, if YOU get done, HE gets done whether you speed, drink and drive or dangerous driving, daddy can expect the same fine/ban etc......lets see how many 'dads' would agree to that!!
I hate trying to park at ASDA or Sainsburys and find its full, but the store moderatley busy, because all the freeloaders have parked for free........if you can afford to drive, you can afford to park. Stores should have a 60 minute time limit, lets face it, it doesn't take an hour to do a monthly shop!! That way, spaces will become more available more regularly

When I'm in Holland I never dream of driving. compared to here they have an excellent integrated public transport system, although it is on a downward slope and there is an increase in the Nederchav element. Here I drive everywhere because buses and teains are so bad.
