Its a 50/50 from where I'm sitting...a defensive grind most likely

Liverpool have enough Big Time players to surprise even if all the experts tip Juventus because of their squads depth

I'm betting Morientes & Baros if they get the right service from midfield will destroy Juventus

cheers

Except Morientes is cup-tied. Even he can't destroy the Juve defence sat in the stands!!!

True...came from Real Madrid if memory serves me correctly or was that Monaco...or was he on loan from...blah blah blah!!!!!

Why can't players stay put for 1 season at 1 club instead of this infernal game of chess?

Club A buys player from Club B,then loans him out to Club C,returns to Club A after performing credibly, loses form and is sold on to Club D who starts the whole farce all over again

cheers

I don't think any side will destroy Juventus simply because of the way they play. Two banks of four in front of the keeper in that Italian "catenachio" (not sure if I've spelled that correctly) style that is still prevelant in Serie A and a tatic that Capello has used at all the clubs he's been with.

I see it as more 65-35 to Juventus. This Liverpool side is a very average one and has done well to get this far.

That said if we play above ourselves and they below then anything can happen.

It might also become more than a football match with the Italians looking to exact revenge (in a football sense) and maybe try too hard.

Morientes is cup tied in Europe for us this season so it will be Baros on his own.
I'd like to see us continue to use the formation Rafa's had us playing in europe to great effect so far. 4 at the back, two deep midfielders in Hamann and Biscan (or Alonso if he's back), then Gerrard, Riise and Garcia further up the pitch with Baros up front. Also known as the 'Valencia' formation.

And fingers crossed, no Harry Kewell.

Yeah I totally agree. It's that formation that has been the best for us this season and was used very effectively in Leverkusen.

It is the very same system that Rafa used in Valencia to accommodate Aimar and won him 2 League titles there so it obviously serves him best.
