Panasonic E55

Has two scart sockets. You can connect it to the TV and then connect your VCR into the second scart socket or, if your VCR also has two scart sockets (or you connect the VCR to the TV without using its scart socket), vice versa.

I use the Philips DVDR 70 and have so far copied around 600 of my porn collection to the DVD +R.Don't be cheap though, the most I copy at is 4 speed (E240 VHS), but if it's a classic of say Marie Harper Selections I copy at 2 (E120 VHS)

Ace I have a stand alone Panasonic DMRE 50 which records DVD-R & DVD RAM, and a stand alone Tevion + R, the tevion was only ?129, yet I can record onto it, from VHS NTSC (just by pressing the NTSC/PAL button) and then make the disc mutli region on my PC, or "Region free" allowing it to play on anything, you can get your blank media cheap on line, don't buy em in dixons etc as you'll pay a few quid each for em, best bet would be to buy a stand alone machine that supports both formats DVD-R & DVD+R and see what you get along with best and which is the most compatible with other machines when you play them back, as for models etc, Panasonic are a reliable one, but if your gonna record from TV a lot as well you may wanna be looking at one with a hard disk as well, I'll mail you anyway with some info

Remember tho Ace if your converting a copy protected VHS cassette to DVD, you'll run into problems and need a "special" lead!
