Cheers mate, I've already got that one sorted
I'm desperate for a newsgroup with the workprint of The Crow.

Brandon Lee's last film. Son of Bruce Lee.
He was killed on the set.
It's my favourite film.
The workprint is much longer and contains completely alternate films.
The soundtrack is stunning and everything about this film blows me away.
It was based on a graphic novel by James O'Barr.

I see, theres a couple of pics here sign-up for free
Biggest trouble with finding things on newsgroups is the filenames
are designed to keep uploads hidden
The group above(which I'm a member of for the next 6 months) has some 3000+ groups.Finding stuff is painful and the search engine is only as good as the filenames....catch 22
Your more likely to find more from a simple search on google images than a newsgroup unless you know the specific group to which it was posted ie gothic, movie posters etc

But that's just it, I'm after the svcd or divx of the workprint and not the pictures.
It's hard finding the group with it.

I'll stop while I'm behind
I'm no expert but I've always been under the impression that Newsgroups are primarily about Pictures as the band width issues with video are far too costly and videos are best sort via P2Ps

I've come across that winrar once of twice...always wondered what it was but never been sufficiently motivated to do so
I'll keep an eye out for the workprint but I'm making no grand predictions
like "I will locate it before Man lands on Mars"
cheers

Winrar is similar to winzip.
That's all really.
Has a better gui than Winzip imho but each to their own.
Now about that moon landing....
