20/20 & One Dayers aren't Test Matches
They've shown before you can lose the one dayers and win the tests
but I agree England certainly look more steeled, probably due to retiring all of the battle scared dead wood and actually producing some decent bowlers

It MUST hurt!!!
Re: o/t Re: It MUST hurt!!!
Harmison is the key in the Tests.
If he bowls like he did 12 months ago then he will really shake up the Aussies and it will be very interesting.
If he bowls like he did in South Africa then he won't and it will be one sided.
I am interested to know something from you previous post in this thread about a conspiracy theory. What is this conspiracy theory you have, who is it aimed at and where/who has it come from?
I'm intrigued!

Any 1 day series that brings the number 1,2 and dead last in the world together needs any Publicity it can to get, what better way than losing to the worst in the world first up
Who's behind it...those running the game...cricket for mine has always been tainted in this respect...miraculous victories over highly rated opponents followed up by loss after loss has always made me suspicious
Personally I think its about time they broke up cricket into 2 divisions Seeing the likes of Bangladesh & Zimbabwe getting slaughtered isn't worth watching
The 3rd team when you bring the best together should be someone of known substance ie south africa, india, pakistan etc
cheers

I've long been advocating a similar thing in World Cup qualifiers where some of the lesser nations should pre qualify to get to the main group stages as in the Champions Lge.
If I have got you right then I don't agree that Australia lost on purpose so as to drum up interest. You only had to look at their shell shocked faces to see that.
The media are going a bit over the top over here but I suppose it's only fair as we have been copping it of your media, ex players, current players and general public for nearly 20 years so it's any excuse to get our own back.
So regarding conspiracy theories did you subscribe to Spains theory at the last World Cup where they accused Fifa of favouring the home nations?

Re: o/t Re: It MUST hurt!!!
We will never know in both cases
If you look at the officials and some of the dubious decisions that went the home sides way(south korea in particular) its easy to think conspiracy instead of what it really was,HUMAN ERROR
A bigger problem with the Spanish(like Holland) is,are their any internal scores being settled on the pitch.
Seems to be the main reason why they fail so often
They be better picking teams but of players all from the same region
cheers
