Seies 1 and 2 are easily purchased from Amazon at nice prices. I suggest you do start from the beginning so you know about Acavedas political ambitions and what makes Vic tick..........one minute, he is psychotic clearing the scum from the street, and then corrupt as he takes back handers then a commited family man with his wife and 2 kids, one is autistic, then you begin to see why he is as dodgy as he is portrayed
Put it this way, if I had Vic Mackey running the police station where I lived, I'd feel safer!!
There is a weak character in the Shield, but as shes the 'eye candy' don't expect her to get written out

I watched the occasional show from time to time into season 2. I got hooked this way. You can easily watch season 4 and catch up on the previous 3 if you want.

Ace, sometimes you need a weaker character to make a strong character stronger. I think she is an interesting contrast to the black officer she is teamed up with.

Her role maybe token but it is good to see white chicks kick dicks once in awhile...The woman stays!
