It still needs to be mentioned as it is integral to the case - they can't say the police are looking for a 6 foot lunatic of unspecified colour. Also it's of interest from a statistical/strategic stance, as certain crimes in particular regions (broken into cells) are committed predominantly by people who fit the text book definition. The police/local authorities/health service/fire service are all into this type of recorded data - and they share it amongst themselves to predict where to invest money/resources.

it has been mentioned (the description of the suspect, inc. colour) in the reports i've read, but it's not been focussed on, they won't need to appeal too much for info methinks as they will have lots of witnesses and bus cctv footage, if they are struggling they'll just relaease a photo on crimewatch and the like.

funny how people cannot see the basic facts

Well there were only two witnesses the victim's girlfriend who is too traumatised and a man they are trying to trace.

to the stabbing yes, not to the man's behaviour which would have indicated a racial motive.
how can you not understand there is nothing in this case that points to a racial killing except one was black the other white, which means nothing
or are you trying to promote some other agenda

either way this thread has now bored me

I want to go back to this becuase it derailed from my initial point. If your out with your girlfreind and some bloke abuses her do you defend her honour or do you walk away?

Civilised society almost dictates that you do the decent thing and defend your girl friend from the offender. In this world of drugged up nutters and people out looking for a fight, discretion might be the better part of valour.

Sorry I've not answered, Joe, but until you find yourself in this situation, knowing how you'd react is impossible.
