Maverick politicians? Love 'em---Tam Dalyell, Dale Campbell-Savours, Dennis Skinner. Mad as brushes mostly, but with a definite dotty uncle appeal. Galloway is a quite different creature, however---a man whose agenda is and has always been the glorification of George Galloway.
We're going to have to disagree on this subject, old friend.

He would have made a good character on Yes Minister then?
I've only been aware of him in the context of that American congressional/senate hearing(where he put the yankee smear machine back in its place)into his dubious dealings with Saddam,so am not really qualified to comment on his character having missed the other 24 years 363 days of his office doings

Galloway is a poisonous little prat who will say anything to further his own cause, which is, George Galloway!

Galloway likes to act as if he is fighting the good fight but the truth is, imho, he just likes to fight. I think hes the kind of bloke who would enjoy pissing in public drinking fountains and sticking pin holes in condoms he lends to his mates. Fuck'm.

What pisses me off with Galloway is the way the BBC idolise him. He appears on the Jeremy Vine show on a regular basis spouting his garbage and then a couple of weeks ago he appeared on the Steve Wright show talking about his Senate adventures.
All that does is show the BBC's support of him, it is not unbiased reporting as they never have any right wing extremists on to balance it out. The BBC Producers seem to have their own agenda, if they were about in 1944 they would have probably refused to broadcast the messages to the French Resistance, which got them ready for D Day, for being anti German.
60 years ago, William Joyce (Lord Haw Haw) an Irishman by the way, was brought back from Germany, tried and hung as a traitor for broadcasting anti British propaganda. Galloway who has taken an oath to the Queen as an MP is allowed to spout his filth and get paid for it, beggars belief.

I'm sure The Queen was just as appalled by Blair's decision to involve her country in the illegal invasion of Iraq as Galloway was.
Galloway has been a regular guest on Channel 5's The Wright Stuff.
I am pretty certain that Joyce was not 'hung', unless they planned to cook him in a game pie perhaps?. I am almost certain that he was hanged. Maybe they hung him after he was hanged?.

I'm never quite sure whether your joking or not Steve R, but either way I'm sure as you and everyones well aware the Queen os still head of state and heaf of the armed forces and Blairs 'decision' to go into Iraq would have been entirely conditional on her support and permission to do so. Mr Blair is not our head of state.

In the words of Monty Python:
"Yes we all have minds of our own"
Which is pretty much what it's like imho!
Money isn't the root of all evil - Religion is!
