Oliver Reed was also pretty good in David Cronenbergs THE BROOD.
And Ann Margaret as a Femme Fatale in Cincinnati Kid.
(wasnt Steve McQueen a great actor too?)

The Brood was a seriously disturbing film. And yes, Olly was good in it.

Moon as a drummer...where to start? How about his electrifying and explosive intro' in "Won't Get Fooled Again" or his brilliantly lyrical and fluid playing during the Tommy "Overture." Personally I rate his awesome performance in "Who Are You" as one of his best and my personal favourite. It's poignant too as it was one of the last recordings he made and it's like he's signing off, "By God you'll remember me." Moon ripped up and re-wrote the book on rock'n'roll drumming and influenced everybody. He was the biggest influence on perhaps the greatest of all the rock drummers, the legendary Neil Peart...that says it all.
Moon's influence on The Who went far beyond that of being "The Drummer" though. He was the energy and the madness that drove this amazing band.
Moon as a "Character"...again, where to start? The anecdotes are many and often hilarious, some are true and some legends but there's never been another "Rock Star" like Keith. As a music fan I miss him terribly but I miss him more as a charismatic, incredibly funny and, above all, decent man.

Has anyone seen the remastered DVD of "Tommy"?
Some very telling interviews, particularly the one with Townshend describing Reed and Moon as a pair of "queens" and telling how they used to keep disappearing off to the dressing room together with loads of "toys".
Reed's singing performances had to be pieced together sometimes word by word.
That said, Moon was an absolute genius as a drummer and, apparently, was the inspiration for "Animal" on the Muppet Show.
