Yeah I'll stand by "Up" as awesome! The slightly odd, lo-fi production took me a bit of getting used to though but I think the majority of tracks are very strong with "I Grieve" as the stand out track for my money and the, "Walking through the undergrowth" sections during "Darkness" always remind me of early Genesis. I love it as an album but to each his or her own and I never 100% liked "So" which I realise is most people's favourite PG effort.
I saw a few gigs on his last tour which were sensational..."Here Comes The Flood", "San Jancinto", "Red Rain", "Solsbury Hill", "Secret World", "Darkness", "Downside Up".....not bad eh?
It's a shame he chose to omit "The Return Of The Giant Hogweed" but you can't have everything.
