As far back as I can remember I've heard "pundits" saying that if you loose the ball a team should get between it and their goal.

Are you now suggesting there was a "golden age" when teams, having lost the ball, would still send players upfield into attacking positions on the off-chance?

Have you heard of things like taking a chance, it's up to the home side to dictate the play etc etc.

It's not all down to percentages you know. Chelsea play this 4-5-1 better than anybody else only because they have the resources to get better players than the rest.

As I said before this is not a post by me blaming the ills of the Premiership on Chelseas shoulders. They are dull but then so are 7 or 8 other clubs.

Watching football is done through choice and I choose to be selective with the games that I watch now. I used to watch them all and take my son to Anfield.

Now I take him to Exeter and Plymouth as there's more excitement there.

When you see the way some the Premiership Teams perform in this competiiton you do wonder
