4 candles or fork handles?

Porridge is on BBC2 tonight at 8.30

A true comedy genius who (thanks to UK Gold) has been keeping us laughing on a regular basis.

A sad day.

Britain has lost its finest character actor, a true genius, a master of his craft and a gentleman. Our lives are poorer without him but richer for knowing him. Goodnight Ronnie and thanks for all the laughs.

You're not wrong about that headline, Spider.

But for sheer nastiness, check out the Daily Mail.

Caractacus, can you enlighten us as to what that DM headline is? I try not to look at that newspaper for fear of turning to stone.

Sorry, Fudge, can't find a link, but heard that they were running an "exclusive" claiming Mr B died of a broken heart due to his son being arrested on some child porn charges.

It's not on their website; a normal trick is to run these things in later editions to avoid others picking up your "scoop."

If the info I heard is true, and that is the story they're running, then it's obvious common decency is just too common for them. I hope to hell it isn't right. And if it is, I hope they are happy to give the grieving widow something to take her mind off her loss.

All to sell some more chip wrappers . . . .
