It is now law that a company can not call or fax you if you are registered with the TPS or FPS...........UNLESS you have agreed to allow calls from this company in writing I.E the bullshit at the end of most sign up/contracts we get nowadays.
We have a phone number checker that we have to use before calling any number we use to see if it is 'legal' to phone that numer

Yes, BT call it "Anonymous Call Reject" and the last I heard it cost ?12 a quarter.

I've just tonight had an arguement with someone claiming to be from a government dept. who called me on a witheld number and demanded I identify myself, d-o-b, etc, before asking me for money.

He got really defensive when I pointed out that I wasn't about to give out details like that to someone who called me on a witheld number! Don't these guys get any kind of training about security issues?

It looks like he was genuine from the useless info he wanted to deal with, but again, got really defensive when I told him to mail me a bill as I wasn't going to give hime my bank details over the phone.

I was bombarded with a cold caller from a double glazing company. The lady last rang offering me discounts and extended guarantee, so I politely asked her to suck my cock and I would sign for the windows, you could almost hear her jaw hit the floor.......she never called again leaving me with no new windows..........and an unsucked cock!!
That was in 2002, I'm sure these days I could get 'done' for that response, but it did work

Honestly those types are so easy to get rid of,maybe not as effective as yours Ace but I've found if you tell them you've already got what their offering rather than saying "No thankyou" they've got nowhere to go
