all tap water will contain some bacteria from pseudomonas to legionella - as long as they are below are certain level the body will just deal with them, it's not a problem
plus you can't actually drink RO water, it's too pure to be absorbed by the body, drinking it would likely make you very ill as nutrients etc are leeched out of cells

question
Why can't Gordon "Mr Africa" Brown lower duty and help all of us out ????
SNIP

Why should he?
Personally I think the duty on petrol should be doubled, maybe even trippled!
It might make some people think twice about making pointless car journeys, and maybe think twice about buying big 4x4s for driving up and down the Kings Road!
Petrol is a NON-RENEWABLE commodity and we have now reached the "peak oil" point. With China industrialising itself and consuming ever greater quantities of oil, how much longer do you think we'll be able to carry on the way we have?
I don't think you're confused at all... just stupid!

I don't think I *was* being harsh.
Oil is NOT going to last forever, yet we are using more and more of it every day and expecting it to last forever... oh and of course we want to pay less and less for it too!
When there are finite resources of a commodity that is being used in ever increasing quantities it's just crass stupidity to expect the price not to rise (something to do with "supply and demand" so I'm told !wink! ), and even more deranged to expect governments to bail us out (which explains why the US Government *is* taking such a stance)
What we should be asking is not "why are we paying so much?" but "what are governments and industry doing about finding replacement, and preferably sustainable, energy sources?"

Now they are at peak oil they have 'just' started to look at other options.
I used to work for a Multi-National engineering company who used to have an R&D department, which was PAID by the goverment to STOP researching an Alternative Fuel source, and instead work on using less refined oil.
I believe they was using abattoir waste, as in animal fat and waste that would normally have little use, even using ground up bone and gristle at one point, but the gov gave them anew project that was 'more use'.
I worked in the R&D Works where they was running the engines so didnt really know any details only what was passed along from the higher ups.

!shocked!
Well that would be the end of the country as we know it.................a silly comment.................food to name one thing would go up well beyond the cost for most to afford it.............how do the super markets get the goods to the shop !,...........all that would do is bring out most of the public sector etc. on strike needing more pay.............GB would put up income tax to help...........private sector would start to go even faster into reccession........more people on the "job seekers allowance" ( aka unemployed), less corporation tax coming in......council tax goes up.......teachers can't drive to work, as can't nurses 'cause of the triple increase in fuel duty....
I think Bob you have the makings of becoming chancellor !!!
