I know what you meant andy. I just gave the first examples that came to mind. I still think that new laws for all sorts of things have to come into place to keep up with society, and I still think that Tony Blair won't gain anything from taking freedoms away from people. After all, his children & grandchildren will be affected.
I feel as free today, as I did 10 years ago. In fact due to the popularity of the internet, 24 hour news, and cheaper flights abroad etc, I feel more knowledgeable, and freer today than 10 years ago; and as they say, 'Only the educated are free.'
