The Wicker Man
Re: The Wicker Man
There is allegedly a twist in the new version in that Cage is investigating the disappearance in a matriarchal society. And given that the director was accused of misogyny with one of his previous films . . . .

Re: The Wicker Man
I've been to one movie in the past 15 years. I wait till they come on TV & watch them & say, "I'm glad I didn't pay $7 to see that piece of junk."
Nobody can write scripts anymore. There are quite a few movies w/ decent premises, but they can't figure out where to go w/ the plot, & the film just sort of fizzles.
I recall the original "Wicker Man" & liked it.

Whatever the remake will be like, I bet there'll be a whole lot less nudity in it. Remember Christopher Lee saying to Woodward, about the naked schoolgirls jumping over the fire. 'Of course they are naked. It would be dangerous to jump over a flame in clothes that could catch fire.'

Re: The Wicker Man
It might of course go 'straight to video'.
Re: The Wicker Man
Yeah and in Woolies bargain bin within two weeks of it's release on DVD.
Re: remake of The 39 Steps
Depending on the extent of global warming perhaps the remakes should appear regularly as
The 38 Steps
The 37 Steps
etc.
Mart
The 38 Steps
The 37 Steps
etc.
