Big Brother and Davina are total shite. I truly believe that, over the last few years, BB has played a major part (along with the red tops) in dragging our popular culture down into the gutter and turning us into a nation of boorish, vacuous, oafs. What a contrast to the 60?s, 70?s and even 80?s when Britain was a part of a cultural explosion of music, literature and film. Art with integrity. But now we are reduced to this empty moronic shit. It?s a crying shame.

I had the misfortune to accidentally tune into on of those BB post-mortem shows a few weeks back, where they have an audience of BB fans who give their supremely inconsequential views on how the BB ?housemates? have been deporting themselves that particular day, and was appalled at how horrid, foul mouthed, and skanky the birds in the audience were.

Perhaps this series serves to show Britain as it really is; and not how the TV bosses of old wanted it to be.

I mean- years when ITV tried to educate as well as entertain...great Granada dramas, award-winning highbrow ITN, Survival Anglia films....and we still ended up with chavvy, druggie estates and areas. No wonder they gave up and thought lets rake in the cash.
