"Racial profiling is an excuse for racism because Islam recruits 'white' converts too,"
Yeah, not very many though, eh? I don't know the precise figures, but it's got to be a single figure percentage of Islamists. 'Profiling' cannot finger the exact person, but it can fingerer the general type of person who fits the target profile, allowing enforcement agencies to proceed with their job in much more effective and efficient manner. Why waste time questioning and frisking little old ladies on a WI outing from Tunbridge Wells when you are out to foil an Islamic jihadist murder plot. This is not racist; this is a rational (remember rational?). And to accuse public institutions (who are all now totally in the thrall of political correctness) of racism is quite bizarre.
Also, why are you lending credence to nutty conspiracy theories suggesting that all the recent Islamic cobblers is a plot by Tony Blair and George Dubya? When it?s Gordon and Hillary you?ll just be saying the exact same thing about them. Nuts.

It means they were Asian.

Yes, but stop flying off into the realm of fantasy! They were a couple of students celebrating finishing their exams by going to Malaga. They weren't "angry-looking" guys. They were brown-looking guys. Read the story - it's in most of the dailies.

What do you suggest Dibble? Maybe force all Muslims to sew a yellow crescent onto their clothing so they can be easily identified?

This is crap - read the news stories. The only suspicious thing they did was to speak Urdu. This was enough to scare the poor, dumb creatures on the flight.
Of course the other passengers are now trying to justify what they did. You'd hardly admit to being a dumb racist wanker, would you?

Dibble, how many planes have been hijacked by Islamists since 9/11? The Bush/Blair story of a "global terrorist threat" is a big lie, and unfortunately dumb Northern wankers who fly Monarch on their summer holidays (or chavs as you call them) have been suckered by the whole thing.

There were resports from people on the plane (as mentioned by Dorrin above) to the effect that this pair were trying to be intimidating and were copping an attitude.
I suppose it comes down to who you choose to believe.
If it was a couple of white Chavs acting up, I wouldn't be particulary thrilled about flying with them either.
But in any case, it's been "brown looking guys" who've been largely responsible for most of the devastating terrorist attacks in the West these past few years - even "white" shoe-bomber Richard Reid had the look of a wild, bearded Islamist about him when he tried to ignite his footwear at 30,000 feet above the Atlantic.
That's not to say that all Asians are terrorists - of course the aren't. But in today's climate they're the ones who (rightly or wrongly) are going to be most suspect.

"What do you suggest Dibble? Maybe force all Muslims to sew a yellow crescent onto their clothing so they can be easily identified?"
That's not necessary at all. The vast majority of Muslims tend to have a middles eastern or Asian appearance, so although there may be the odd Christian, Buddhist or Hindu amongst them, it's fairly clear who Muslims are without the necessity for any kind of badge.
My Muslim pals are not Islamists (Capitalists, actually). Although they retain nominal membership of the Muslim faith they only go to the Mosque about once a year (for our equivalent of Midnight Mass) and enjoy all the groovy pleasures of a cushty capitalist society - shagging birds, smoking, swigging booze and driving big naff-off Mercs and 4 * 4's. In short, they are top blokes who have no truck with political correctness, affirmative action (the very thought is an insult) or any other middleclass cack. Due to recent events and outrages perpetrated by people from their own community and ethnic background they totally understand that they themselves might now be viewed with some fear and suspicion by the indigenous population. They are as mortified as many others in their community who are grateful to be here, sharing in our western prosperity and er, ?freedom?, that a deluded minority of their number should commit acts of treachery and barbarity, thereby putting all Muslims under a cloud of suspicion. Many Muslims feel this way although they will not say so publicly, as speaking out against Islam or the Islamist cause seems to be a cultural no, no. Also, you might get a ?fatwa? imposed on you and one of your crazed Muslim brothers might feel that it is ?the will of Allah? that you have your head cut off.
