I look at it the other way, he was only put away because he was a celebrity. How many stories do we see of little arseoles with 100's of driving convictions being involved in a crash and just getting a dose of community service. Hamed may be a twat but if I remember right, he wasn't drunk just driving like an idiot and Joe Public get's away with that every day.

The Courts feel that they should make examples of celebs and have done for years, remember Tony Adams? how many people get put away for DD where no-one else was involved, not too many, I know of people who have been done 3 times and just got a fine and further ban.

After all that, if the law of the land says 18 months, 16 weeks is not enough although he shouldn't have been there in the first place.

well said Dorrin.

Good to see someone playing devil's advocate.

Yeah he was a twat for driving away as he did but it wasnt a stolen car and he wasnt drunk.

Unfortunately it happens every day, and you are spot on with the comments about "celebrity"

Many people have walked free when the person they've hit have died.

But i also agree that it was in the worst possible taste to hire those limos to pick him up from prison, thats like rubbing salt in the wound.

cheers

!drink!

Why am I the first person in 11 replies to take issue with the anti-Islamic comments mentioned by the first poster?

Do people not give a shit about prejudice then? Are we all really that racist? How totally cuntish is that?

Actually, it wasn't anti-Islamic, the poster stated the obvious, how YOU percieve it is disturbing.
Islam has the largest following of religious devotees, so in a way, it IS the most favourite religion.

Sorrry, Ace, but by putting 'And to cap it all...' is his way of being negative. It can be read in no other way! The whole post is derogatory against Hamed personally, and that's fine. But the last comment is out of order.
