Thanks for the info. There have been complaints lodged with OFCOM and the BBC about the inappropriate timing of the trailers, apparently, so someone might be in a bit of bother.

I can't stand either, UK scifi is always pants. The effects aren't even up to an episode of buffy and the scripts and acting are awful, "set wackiness to warp factor ten doctor", David Tenant reminds me of that bloke from rentaghost.
If you want good scifi the only place to look is the remade battlestar galactica its awesome.

Agree there. Dr Who gets spunked all over by the UK media, but if the BBC bought BSG and ran that alongside Torchwood, the childishness of the latter would be shownup big time. BSG is amazingly well written, acted and directed. Love that show.

Might be because they know they can make a lot of money out of that period crap by selling it overseas that that is where they concemtrate their resources,
I think the BBC is a national disgrace wtf should we have to pay money to a load of oxbridge cunts just so we can have the privaledge of owning a telly and they can spend it churning out shit like east enders and Doctor Who
