Agreed, it is good TV, BUT I was a chef for a VERY long time, and pretty good at it as well..........but it is TV viewing, heavily edited and pity the poor chefs that are obviously made to look stupid with Gordons tired rants.
I worked with someone who had worked for Ramsey at the Aubergine Restaurant in London about 7 years ago, and lets say HIS kitchen was a bit shabby and nothing to write home about.
Its the manner of his 'St Gordon - Saint of catering lost causes' that gets up MY nose.
I also did the hygiene exams and have Basic, Intermediate and Advanced levels and am 100% confident that I could find faults with any of his establishment, as ANY EHO could do.
And does anyone wonder WHY Gordon hasn't been smacked out yet? Noted, he's a big fella, but no-one has even tried to have a pop at him........because he's not a cunt 24/7 as depicted on TV, you see 5 minutes from hours of footage that is eventually aired. I lost my rag worse than Gordon did, and no-one smacked me because they were isolated incidents and things DO get heated in a high pressured environment, just as it does with him.
