I didn't attack anyone, I voiced an opinion thats all
And for the 2 spineless wankers who emailed me, I have more clout on this forum than your likely to ever have

I wouldn't want so called 'clout' on this forum because I am a decent person.
I don't voice NEGATIVE opinions at someone elses work!
As for your bad language, you need to wash your mouth out with soap you naughty person! !shocked!
Go and get a life and learn some manners! Respect other people's work! !teacher!

Calm down Ace! You're entitled to your opinion.
I apologise if my work offends you, but there are others on this Forum who happen to like it.

I applaud your passive comments BigAl. I have nothing against the painting, I merely commented on what I felt was its worth. I hope I am proved wrong and you make a few quid. No offence was made directly towards you.

Not my cup of tea either, bigAl---no offence---but I hope you get a good price for it.
Weird that for a country that tends to ignore the arts, by and large, we can still get het up by someone expressing an opinion opposite to our own. I'm including myself in this.
Most artwork leaves me cold, but the stuff that tends to get nominated for the Turner Prize makes me want to buy a chainsaw and take it to the "art" installation, artist and judges. But then, perhaps my fusion of Hirstian anger and Hieronymous Boschian viscera could find itself nominated for next year's prize.

No problem Ace, you obviously know your art.
Do you paint yourself?

Just for the record.
Not sure if it's the subject matter, or the quality of my copy that offends.
The original Vettriano cost ?95,000

I normally like Vettriano---but that one seems to lack a certain something (In My Opinion!).

I never realised this thread would prompt so much debate, so thanks to all contributors for your valued opinions.
Caractacus, I'd be interested in what you think that particular Vettriano lacks? It's one of his best ..................... in my opinion !!!!
