Oh ok. I figured. Over here they call them "tricks" or if a prostitute is dealing with a customer she's "turning a trick". Of course I haven't heard these terms in fifteen years. The girls are younger and they have their own terms.

Greetings, colonial cousin, I thought the term in the land of 'Uncle Sam' was called "Johns" (having watched a programme on television about prostitution in New York)

Yeah. They do call them "johns". But I guess it depends on what part of the US you're from. I'm from the "hood" so back in the day the term "trick" WAS popular. Now prostitutes are called "hoes". Tymes have changed.

I assume "hoe" is a corruption of "whore".
