Can anyone remember that film series they had on channel 4 in the 80s? Was it the worst of hollywood or something like that? It was great. Friday nights, I think. Some cunt with a moustache introduced the movies and I think they showed Plan 9 and They Saved Hitler's Brain.
Great stuff.

Before becoming a supporter of bad politicians, Michael Medved was the world's no.1 aficionado of bad movies. His books 'The 50 Worst Films Of All Time' and 'The Golden Turkey Awards' made him a popular figure on the talk-show circuit. Channel 4's 'The Worst Of Hollywood' ran for ten weeks, and included such classic clunkers as 'Eegah!', 'The Horror Of Party Beach', 'Godzilla Vs.The Smog Monster', 'They Saved Hitler's Brain', 'Mars Needs Women' and, naturally, 'Plan 9 From Outer Space'. Medved introduced each edition, giving background information and plot details. The film would then be shown, with captions pointing out interesting features such as 'Immortal Dialogue' and 'Stock Footage', along with some genuinely witty comments. Afterwards, Medved would reappear, make further observations, then exclaim: "The worst is yet to come!". It was great Saturday night post-pub viewing, miles better than 'M.S.T.3.K'. Sadly, the Welsh channel S4C cut the series short, with two films ( 'Robot Monster' and 'Santa Claus Conquers The Martians ' ) going unscreened.

Great stuff!

One that isn't brilliant but was decent in it's time apparently. Doesn't hold up that well today s a remake might be good. Might be.
