According to the Daily Mail !adolf! the murder victims? pubic hair has been shaved so they?ve decided that it all sounds very familiar?

?It also emerged last night that the murders bear an uncanny resemblance to the plot of the 1991 PD James novel Devices and Desires, in which a maniac kills five women in East Anglia. The fictional murderer shaves the victims? hair.?

BAN PD JAMES BOOKS NOW!

Yeah, and a collection of horror movies. How will I entertain myself if these get banned.

Except, of course, the real killer in Devices And Desires topped himself before the last victim was killed, leaving the Rozzers to find the copycat killer using the panic to despatch an enemy.

More worrying might be the plot of one of Susan Hill's crime novels, where a sadistic killer uses a refrigerated van to pick up his victims, taking them to his own "work lab" in an industrial unit.

Oh, and what a surprise finding Der Daily Mail suggesting it must be an immigrant.

Felixstowe and Harwich are just up the road. Poles have invaded in ships cargo. A Polish man was arrested and sentenced for rape in Llanelli South Wales.

See, it all fits.

And so the circus begins....Its funny to see there are some armchair serial killer profilers grabbing at the most obvious of things. The thing is, most of what some of you have said still doesnt narrow it down to the person who did this nor a name and address where he can be apprehended.

Profiling is great for the obvious reasons but its not down to a perfect science yet. It some times takes years as this profile could fit any white male in that area and beyond.

I dont need to remind you potential Crackers that this isnt a competition. Common sense could have given you those answers. Jeez it makes me laugh when watching films like Silence Of The Lambs how dramatic they make profiling look (still didnt stop me enjoying the film btw)...."We covet what we see"...Naaaah you dont say. It took poor little Clarice a couple of minutes to figure that out and she works for the FBI!

What we need here is an open mind and a bit of calm. Everyone tossing info in the pot is convoluting any real solution which is why most good detectives dont waste time with evidence given by the media.

I personally wouldnt rule out someone who is transient to the area. How many of these guys take a shit on their own door step. You'd more like find the answer by studying predators. Wildlife tells you much about us than you think. I know cos I've read loads of books about serial killers over the years and I'm surprised no one has invited comparisons.

Sorry, Terry, but I have no skill in guessing who the killer is. I may read detective novels, and watch TV cop shows, but that doesn't make me qualified to solve this crime of attempt to "profile" the murdering shite. I do not understand people who kill, and am quite happy to remain in a state of ignorance with regard to their motivation.

The sooner this loathsome scum is caught the better.

Actually when it comes to spotting killers in film i am exceptional at it.
For example, i guessed the twist in Shattered right at the start.

My 'profile' is general as i don't have the time to expand. I do believe even more now that they may be looking for a male and female but it would take longer than i have to explain exactly why.
