Exactly, a few thousand years, which is the blink of an eye in geological terms.
I think it's a good thing in itself to reduce pollution where we can, but in global terms the UK produces almost no pollution compared to China and the USA. Plans to impose carbon taxes and the like are just a way for Grim Gordon to tap us for more money, whilst implying that anyone who is against his tax hikes wants the planet to die.
Personally, I think we should be building new nuclear power stations. These wind farms are a con and a rip off. They can't operate at more than 30% of their theoretical capacity, and only get built because the get subsidies from the tax payer. The fact that Dave the Green Tosser is putting a windmill on the roof of his house shows that he really is a vapid poseur.
