If you are looking for a couple of books on web design these are good. From Elizabeth Castro



The first, at about ?10, is a good intro to HTML and CSS. If you are not aware of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) then this book is a good start.

It takes you through a simple tutorial to create a small site usung HTML and CSS.



And this book is a sort of HTML and CSS bible. She has a nice writing style and introduces all the concepts of HTML and CSS used in designing a site.

They shouldn't be "more" standards compliant they should "be" standards compliant.

They can't even produce a browser that is standards compliant and these are the guys that sit on the W3C Standards Committee!!!

Firefox is shoddy but IE? Just shows what a bag of crap MS really are.
