Heard this story the other day that Reg Gutteridge was doing a commentary for World of Sport on one of Ali's fights once, the fight itself was a bit of a non-event the guy he was fighting had no chance of winning.
Ali must have been getting bored with things so at the end of one of the rounds he asked Reg Gutteridge if he would like an interview with him.
Reg got in touch with the studio but they said they had to show something else, he told Ali who said no problem i'll wait.
2 rounds later they did an interview and Ali knocked the guy out the following round.!cool!

I still don't think our 'enery would have finished him even if he'd caught him with that punch at the start of the round. Ali would have smothered him and danced.

Under todays rules Cooper would have won the fight as there was no way that Ali would had made the count as the count now continues after the bell, back then if a boxer was on the floor and the bell sounded the count stopped and that was the end of the round.
