Thanks to Andy- I've now headbutted the wall and need to add the great and quite frankly fucking genius that was John Bonham to the 'all-time' but dead list.
Andy- I wrote the all-time list before the living one...because I could think of great dead politicians; but not living ones....

I dont subscribe to the 'all politicians are scum' way of thinking, but I would be hard pressed to name a 'great' living one. Perhaps Tony Benn for being true to his beliefs all this time, ......er, thats it.

Dennis Skinner could get a look in as the only proper Labour MP left in Parliament, the rest are closet capitalists and couldn't give a shit about honest working folk, unless they live in a mansion.
