Sadly, today's porno (certainly American and British) seems to be created exclusively by, and for, hormone crazed sex addicts, closet pedophiles and the green walled bed-sit mob. These rampant (and frequently oafish) pervys don?t give a shit about class, sophistication, eroticism or quality of any kind. The just want 'meat'. Their only stipulation is that it is ostensibly female meat and of a young or recent vintage. That it may be low quality, stringy, and devoid of any intellectual of physical body doesn't seem to matter one iota to chortling Fred Pervy. Poor old Joe Ordinary doesn't get a look in nowadays - not that he's bothered. He's to busy getting a life.

But I?m not simply blaming porno people, here. This is all part and parcel of the wider cultural and social changes that have overtaken British society (and western society in general) over the past fifteen years. Maybe we?ll talk about this in more detail later, in a new thread?

The reason for this and for the Music of Black Origin awards and so on is because our society is dominated by white men.
If you look at mainstream, non-specific music awards for example, the majority of them are won by white artists. Or the Oscars for example...there's a reason why it was such a big deal that Halle Berry won a year or two ago.

For minorities to get recognition they create their own awards, or have their own ministers.
Our government has done very little for women's rights, I don't think having a Minister for Women is going to change much tbh.

Also, gaining more equality for women or people of colour does not mean taking away rights from anyone else.
So why do you find this such a problem?

There's no straight pride march because straight couples have the right to marry and can express their sexuality in public without fear of getting attacked, amongst other things.

I think it's pretty obvious it's a minority.

Obviously I have no problem with men using porn, I wouldn't be on these boards or in the job I am if I did.
I do have a problem with anyone, no matter how good their intentions, making other people feel bad or threatened because of their sexual preferences, which is exactly what The Porn Detective seems to be doing.

Yes, anti-porn feminists exist. But they by no means represent all feminists (neither do I btw) and they by no means are 'in control'

There's barely any women in charge of this country, feminist or otherwise.
