Re: Feminist war on porn

?Had pornographers regularly thought about making erotica with a script, decent lighting, good sound and a plausible scenario, in other words had they made something more interesting than watching a bacon slicer or something that didn't look like an assault??
Hey, I reckon you may be onto something here, Keith.
Sadly, today's porno (certainly American and British) seems to be created exclusively by, and for, hormone crazed sex addicts, closet pedophiles and the green walled bed-sit mob. These rampant (and frequently oafish) pervys don?t give a shit about class, sophistication, eroticism or quality of any kind. The just want 'meat'. Their only stipulation is that it is ostensibly female meat and of a young or recent vintage. That it may be low quality, stringy, and devoid of any intellectual of physical body doesn't seem to matter one iota to chortling Fred Pervy. Poor old Joe Ordinary doesn't get a look in nowadays - not that he's bothered. He's to busy getting a life.
But I?m not simply blaming porno people, here. This is all part and parcel of the wider cultural and social changes that have overtaken British society (and western society in general) over the past fifteen years. Maybe we?ll talk about this in more detail later, in a new thread?
?If Officer D. had watched one of those 'History of Pornography' documentaries you can see on Channel 5 then you will regularly hear somebody say that porn has done a lot to help the feminist cause because it is empowering to the woman, they are at the focus of what the production is about and in a sense in control.?
Yes, I am aware of some intelligent, rational, middleclass women acknowledging the benefits of porn and wholly accepting and celebrating our common (men and women?s) sexual nature. But they are not taken seriously by the media or politicians and get very little recognition or publicity - as this would tend to neutralize the prevailing middleclass orthodoxy that porn ?demeans wimmin? and all men are rapists.
But together we can make a difference. We must challenge our poncy, elitist, rulers. Tell them to fuck off and leave out all the ?wimmin are victims? bollocks. Tell them to stop being sniffy and hypercritical about sex. Tell them that we want quality sex and that they, as a matter of government policy, should promote quality eroticism - while kicking into touch the chortling oafs, chavy chavers, and lay-by losers who, sadly it would seem, are the base ingredients of contemporary British fuck-flicks. Send out a message that we will no longer allow these divvys and nomarks to drag British, society, culture, and porn through the gutter. Yes, t?fuck wiv? ?em! Waddaya say, Keith?
