I guess some muslim fanatics here will be just as hostile as their american counterparts but generally I dont see any problem. Especially if they are fit!
Is she fit Lay? Then I dont see any problem whatsoever...Who are we talking about? Tera Patrick? Penny Flame? Jenna Jameson?! Tell em they can come around for a cuppa and a digestive...I'll be extra nice and get the chocolate ones out.

Seriously though I generally find americans ok. Some are a bit ignorant about issues outside of their own world of Planet America but then I assume the same goes for some people here too.

Oh yeah and if they are a millionaire there, they are only half a millionaire here so I would warn about how expensive it is here more than anything...and they have to pay for ketchup extra if they want to buy fish and chips.!happy!

Dribble is a one-trick pony. He didn't manage to bring chavs into his post though, that must be very frustrating.

I suspect the hostility to Americans line is peddled by supporters of the Bush/Iraq war to muddy the waters. We've had a similar spin down here with opposition to current US forign policy being wilfully (mis)described as anti-americanism.

Americans? Probably my second favourite race after the Czechs. Americans are always welcome at Rude Manor.

Why would anyone visit our country?

Its no doubt becasue they think that its still a green and pleasant land with bobbies on every corner and the home of good manners and sense of fairplay and what do they get when they step off the plane? a concrete wasteland with slack jawed scum all around who all ape american (by american the project dwelling gangsta rapper) "culture".

I for one feel ashamed that the stereotype other countries have/had is far better than the reality which we have allowed to happen.

Please tell your American friend not to visit so they will forever think of Great Britain as it was, not what it has become.

Its also a concern when an American of all people is scared of the welcome they would recieve coming here.

An american guy recently joined my class at uni and to be honest there's no problem at all, in fact its only the slight variation in sense of humour and general geekiness that sometimes alienate him. I dont think there are any problems though to be honest

"Put a f*cking sock in it Dibble"

Hey, don't shoot the messenger, Keith. I'm just relaying my observations of British society while expressing anger and frustration in my unique and inimitably Dibbleish style. You know it makes sense.
