May I suggest you look up the definition of the word TRUTH.

Time for the mods to change your self-styled name and signature on the basis that what you say is very rarely truthful.

You're just another tosser like Officer Dibble... stop believing your own hype!

Bollocks. This is all in the Sun's imagination (and yours). Say what the fuck you want - nobody's going to get offended if you say husband or dad. Go for it - be a devil.

Damn right, Keith!

Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt.

Trouble is, most of us don't discover just how bad a deal it is until it's too late. In my case, six years divorced and my ex still takes more money off me each month than the taxman.

And what's that old saying? Something like "a woman marries a man thinking he'll change but he doesn't, and a man marries a woman thinking she won't change but she does"!

That's clear racism against Sussex people! I bet it's moderated by gay people from Norfolk.

I recall asking, when TBT first appeared, whose definition of 'Truth'would he be using.

Isn't it the case that we now live in a culture where everyone is searching to be "offended"? Vast hords of the population are wanting and wishing to be "offended" by some action, word or deed! I agree that PC has got to a pernicious stage it encourages all to find offence when (a), none was intended and (b), there was no offence in the first place.

I do not subscribe to the adage that says, 'well if it's in the Sun it MUST be true!'. It would be extremely unwise for anyone to hold the media up as paragons of probity and rectitude. The media are guilty of rampant hypocrisy and lies!

Choose your media. Some, no prizes, are guilty as charged, some aren't. Suffice it to say that in a couple of the 'broadsheets' you will regularly find op/ed pieces that in no way reflect the opinions of the paper, but are included for reasons of fairness, balance and general interest. Max Hastings, for example, is a frequent, highly stimulating and entertaining contributor to the Groniad, a paper that can hardly be called his natural constituency.

You are right though that people are too easily offened these days. In fact I'm sure some go out of their way to be. That said, there is a difference between offence and bigotry. I subscribe to the view that every human being is worthy of respect, but not nescessarily their beheviour or beliefs.
