Signing up as a 'cook' doesn't get you out of the initial square bashing and other duties.Everyone has to hold a rifle in the line of duty.

Putting your name down as a 'trade' comes later-it's polish your boots me horrible lads (or words similar unrepeatable here).

Great life though with a few stripes on your arm.As I experienced...now you rabble of M.P.s get fell in...and get a *@@<^ hair cut.

...and yes,some of our Brits can look like a bag of potatoes tied up in the middle.

Why else does the shortfall in recruitment occur when Britain are engaged in situations in Iraq and Afghanistan? Because when it comes right down to it, new conscripts won't sign up to go and fight. Why should they? Its 'dangerous'.

Being a cook doesn't exempt you from ANY exercises, parades, weapon cleaning or courses.

'some' of our Brits? more like 60% of them Prof, Binge Drinking, gambling and fighting are 3 requirements most of these lads happily take on-board
