Partly agree with you 'Super Randy', the football bolton play isn't pretty but it does the job considering Bolton aren't blessed with a squad as ripe with talent as England are.
One thing that all England supporters want from their national team is PASSION and Alladyce would install that immediately, i would like to think he would have the balls to drop that prick Lampard aswell.
It's not all about pretty football is it, it's about results, even though i do think you underestimate bolton's style of play. They often use the long ball etc but that's because it suits the players that they have. If he was in charge of england he'd play the style of football that suits the players that England have which would be nothing like Bolton.
If the job was based on who would make us play the best style of football then surely Wenger would be the man but he's another shred of evidence that an over-passing formula is not always the way forward.
PS. I'm not a bolton fan as some peole might think lol
Steve McClaren
Re: Steve McClaren
well we'll never know if he'd be lost on the big stage will we because that prick Mclaren was appointed.
Then again i would class the Premiership as a big stage wouldn't you?
And it's not like he's under achieved in the premiership.
We had our chance in Germany but had a cunt in charge who completely lacks passion and to be honest i just can't see how Sven would have got any of the players up for a big game. In fact if we weren't blessed with a good crop of players it could have been a lot worse in the last 5 years or so.
Lets hope things improve sharpish and we qualify and fingers crossed win the Euro's lol, although that looks a long way away at the moment.
Afterall Greece won Euro 2004 for fucks sake lol.

Re: Steve McClaren
Get a new manager in NOW while the damage is reversible.
Then think about the bigger stage.
The FA blew it with O'Neill, Allardyce, Curbishley.......
......so get it right this time.
Otherwise, as a Scot, I will laugh at the current England set-up for the joke that it currently is.

Re: Steve McClaren
I can empathise with your opinion on the joke of a set-up that England have and you must obviously be delighted with Scotland's current form in their qualifying group.
As most of my family are from Scotland i am somewhat half and half which might be hard for some people to understand and i regularly choose between watching Scotland one game and England the next.
I was dissapointed with the performance in the Ukraine but that is a hard place to go and for the majority of the game Scotland looked like they would gain a valuable point.
It proved to be a tougher game then people thought against Georgia as they have some very technically gifted players whom people seem to forget but a winning start for Mcleish was good to see.
I for one will be glued to the box for the upincoming game against Italy and who knows maybe a repeat of the France game is in store, we can only hope....
