Beatles mate/roadie/sidesman/Apple Corps fixture Mal Evans was famously shot dead by mistake by the LAPD and Apple Corps paid for his funeral and for his ashes urn to be flown back to Blighty after his cremation.
The pot broke in the NY mail system; leading to post being covered in a thin layer of dust the next day - and for Mal to be the only person literally laid to rest all over New York....
