What is "porn"? Is it the writing of harlots "porno" meaning harlots and "graphy"meaning writing, as the intellectuals tells us, or simply erotic imagery that arouses sexual excitement?

An engaging introduction as a lead into a scene seems to work best in my mind but I tend to think if anyone wanted a decent storyline you'd best to stick to some erotica and the french have made some very good efforts. Thing is the story over takes the sex so you have to make up your mind what you want to see otherwise its fast forward on the remote city here I come.

The thing that turns me on is the realisation of the characters so that they become real and believable. If this happens then the sex scenes have the ability to turn me on. No matter how beautiful the performers are wall to wall mechanical sex is boring to me. I like a storyline and so does my partner.

Yeah you are quite right Mike but its getting an interesting balance without compromising one for the other thats the tricky part.

How often have you heard of a porn movie having a really great storyline? Films of this nature tend to be flawed when the producers (bless them I know they are trying) have this grandiose dream (like Burt Reynolds character in Boogie Nights) of marrying these two elements successfully but the porn buying public just see it as a fuck film.

Sure, some films have come close but never really close enough. Irreversible wouldve been a great porn movie. I know I harp on about this movie but it really is a great film!

I reckon Gaspar Noe would make great porn movies. I reckon Monica Bellucci would do it for him too. It does strike an emotional chord that scene in the subway doesnt it?
