Blair and the Labour Government have a good record on health and education. In health, the huge investment they have put in over the last ten years has drastically reduced waiting lists, ended the annual winter health crisis we used to get and seen a big improvement in hospital facilities, A&E units, doctors' surgeries etc. In schools, huge sums have been invested in modernising school buildings and standards are up too.
No, it's not perfect and, if someone said there were too many reorganisations in health, I'd agree with them.
Again, compared to the Thatcher/Major years, things are much better in both health, education and (from my point of view) pretty much everything else. But of course Blair and co have made mistakes - and the biggest is sadly Iraq.
If the Tories get in and start cutting public expenditure, I suspect a lot of people will suddenly feel a lot fonder of Tony Blair and his Government than they do now.

Im sure the Krauts wished they had never arrested me as i reminded them of the war just as soon as they surrounded me which of course upset them, anyway after a lot of deliberation and a hefty fine which i have never paid they took me to Berlin and put me on a plane to Heathrow which was a fucking insult as my car was still parked at Gatwick !thumbsdown!
