Ooh, er, The Eagles are dinosaurs? Have to think twice about what I put on my MP3 in future! Remember though, it's not the age of the music that counts, but rather the quality! For example, Beethoven, Elgar, Wagner and Barber are all older than any pop or rock, but I hear no one calling them crap or out of date.

Oh, and I have to point out that I've got a lot of classical on my MP3 too, especially Beethoven and Wagner. !happy!

Warren, Warren, there has been countless times when your spelling has been less than accurate but I could not be arsed to point it out; and you wonder why you wind people up!
If the other poster's spelling is more or less accurate, then that's good enough for me, so long as it doesn't involve text-type spelling; then that does bug me.

I LOVE Zevon's 1978 album 'Excitable Boy' which I can play from start to finish on a regular basis without ever tiring. But I can understand Algarve not liking it. I still cannot for the life of me see what was so good about Janis Joplin. Lots of people rave about her, but to me she was a howling drunk.

But how's this for fucking sick... I bought Holly Valance's 'State of Mind' album a few years ago for a joke, to see how bad it was. To my astonishment I found myself begrudgingly admitting that it wasn't too bad. After a few more listens, I found myself loving it. Me? A Holly Valance fan? This album sits alongside Stevie Wonder, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Beatles ( their later stuff ), Frank Sinatra, Hendrix, Zevon etc. I must have played it all the way through about 200 times by now. Appalling!

Warren Zevon is class but is it your mission to convince the world of this ? Does it really matter that AA is resistant to this view. It's possible that you and the Addick have a deepening admiration for one another and this is just a form of denial as well as being quite coquettish in it's way !grin!
