It's attractive to pedo nonce's who can abuse children in the knowledge that they will go undiscovered, and even if they are caught red handed, they know it will be swept under the carpet.

The Catholic Church is a haven for pedo's!!

That's unfair----the church believes in forgiveness for those that commit sins and truly repent. Except for abortionists, who will burn in hell.

'People who don't get married' - unless they are catholic priests, of course...
The double moral standards so characteristic for the Catholic Church!

There has been 838 documented cases of child abuse in protestant/Baptist churches since 1998.

And in how many of those cases has the offence been hushed up, the head of the church calling for forgiveness of a human failing, or the perpetrator being allowed to keep their job?

Whoever commits crimes like that---Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Jew, Sikh, whatever----should be prosecuted. The double standards of churches saying, "We are providing a voice for those who cannot speak in their own defence----the unborn," while allowing those who ignore the cries of children begging not to be hurt are disgusting.

You want a say in politics, in whether wars are right, on whether women should be allowed to decide whether or not to abort a foetus inside them, whether people in the third world should be allowed to practise birth control, then fine. You can have that say. But just don't keep silent when the subject is fucking, hypocritical, child-raping, child-molesting pieces of scum sheltering as "revered" members of your church.

I have always felt it should be a priori for one nation that the form of government another nation chooses is its own business. 'The United States is the friend of liberty everywhere, but its defender only at home.' John Quincy Adams IIRC. Wish we had remembered that, sorta like Washington's advice, 'Avoid foreign entanglements', & the more recent admonition from Eisenhower, 'Beware the military-industrial complex.'
