Hard fact is, the next generation doesn't deserve global warming. Or budget deficits. Or Arab hatred. Or whatever. But they also don't 'deserve' electricity, or the internal combustion engine, or penicillin. Each generation gets what it gets. Has been that way for two million years.

and if that means the potental end of our species then so be it
