The unforgivable thing about John Rambo is that it took the premise of a vietnam war vet and turned it into a joke.

All the Rambo movies are is about Sly gunning people down with big fat explosions and loads of war machines...A movie with not much thought to it. Oh and some bullshit patriotic speech at the end that makes you want to reach for the sick bag. Not to mention the cheesy bit I hate most about those films...The freeze frame on Slys sweaty face wearing his bandana, fade to black and some stupid inapropriatesong: NOOOOOOO! Sorry I dont share your enthusiasm on this one.

At least Die Hard has moments of decent suspense and is overall more entertaining.

Rocky Balboa - great!
Die Hard 4.0 - average
Indy 4 - can't wait!
Rambo 4 - bring it on!!!!

now all we need is:
Mad Max 4
True Lies 2
The Adventures of Ford Fairlane 2
Back to the Future 4
and whilst we are doing sequels - how about a serious and decent Jaws sequel!

Yes I agree with that comment - just watch them for the
entertainment value. Most action films are so far fetched the
hero would probably be dead within the first 15 minutes

Sit back and enjoy or just watch something else instead that
appeals to you

The entertainment factor is a fine argument----but don't dedicate the movie to the "freedom fighters" in Afghanistan.

They were religious nut jobs at the time, and are religious nut jobs now. The old adage "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" has dropped us into so much trouble over the years----including the backing (financial, military etc) we provided Iraq when it was at war with Iran.

They were "freedom fighters" in the sense that they wanted to free their country of Russians. The western definition of freedom, however, is anathema to the Taliban.
