Its usually shown just b4 xmas on CH4 ;irecall the serial too around 1966?.

Totally agree, a wonderful movie with some of the all time great British character actors appearing however one thing has always niggled me, the omission of the sinister character Orlick from this version. I remember seeing the film as a kid and being petrified when Miss Havisham went up in flames!

Didn't Jean Simmonds play the Young Estella in the 1946 version and then play Miss Havesham in the 1980s?

Or some thing like that any way
