Admittedly not the world's best drummer, he did, or so I've heard, recieve four times as much fan mail as any other Beatle at one point.
Also, sometime later when they visited the Maharishi Yogi, he was first back on the plane. So not the most easily fooled drummer either.

He always seemed up front and natural to me re the indian thing it was all bollocks wasnt it pity harrison couldnt see it.

I agree, although limited in his drumming, came across as a decent scouser (if such a thing exists) whereas the rest seemed real cunts, although George did seem deluded with that Indian tosh.

the a sides of the Plastic Ono Band were ok but the b sides were Crap.

Still think if ono hadnt shagged lennon in 1966 things might have been better she was pissed off because the rest didnt like her.
