Trumpy, switch off your comp, then turn it back on again whilst holding down F8, keep it held down until you have a black screen with option to start in different modes etc, safe mode, safe mode with command promt etc, choose just 'Safe mode' let it start follow the instructions, when started go to control panel then add/remove programmes, the click on the AVP programme and then above uninstall, this should remove it as you are not using any of it's drivers, let me know how you go on, you also may have to uninstall it whilst online, some avg programmes require that, but try safe mode first.

The trial version is already installed in add/remove programs. What if I clicked on remove program from there?

You should be able to uninstall it through the control panal > add remove programmes, but sometimes uninstalls are a pain in the arse. Do make sure the programme isn't running in the background when trying to uninstall it.

I'd suggest looking at the sites FAQ's or forums if nothing works. You could start going through deleting files and clearing the registry files but it's not something I'd recommend if you don't know what you're doing.
