When your a single parent, unemployed, money is very important, so to waste ?10.00 on fares just 2 miles up the road is rediculous, especially when I can go into Gloucester city itself for less than that, each day for a whole week.

Last year, there was 5 cases of sexual assault/rape in this area, of young children. 1 of them cases was less then 2 miles from here, so there is no way she is walking/cycling to school on her own.

It is because the contract with the previous company is coming to an end, & the company won't be renewing the contract, they are closing down.

As I already just posted to Warren, I'm a single parent, & unemployed, so money is tight. The previous school to here only charged ?1.50 for the week, this school, up until last friday, when school finished, was charging ?5.00. In September, when school re-opens, they want ?10.00

They have 2 options, give us a buspass, or provide home schooling, it's that simple. And I'm not the only person to feel that, lots of the mums/dads around here are furious over this.

Well first Snake, it aint the schools fault, why dont you all get together (with the other parents) and approach the new bus company asking for a discount, as if you say there are 30 other people complaing, they may do something about it, or if 30 of you mither your local MP, or see if you can get another local bus contracter/ mini bus contracter to take on this job.

Snake diamond,
Home schooling is an option if you start with it and never send your childen to school. I did this in England without problems but if you try to take them away from school and start home schooling then you will come up against the local eduation authority.
