I can understand the posties trying to protect their terms and conditions, and I'm sure management are using the deregulation as a way to sneak some things through, but all they are doing is ensuring customers see them as unreliable.

There are some folk who seem to think they are owed a living, and don't have to contribute much in the way of work to get their pay packets. Industry after industry of "essential" workers have gone, and the once trusted postman will probably go the same way.

There are some depots where thieving postal workers, or those who only show up for work when they feel like it, are disciplined or dismissed---and their colleagues call wildcat strikes to support them. Crazy.

The RM are so short of staff that apparently they have taken on staff who previously have been dismissed for theft!! Also, they are employing casual's who only have a basic graspe of English!

Royal Mail was alot better before privatization, we were getting mail 3 x daily, now if your lucky, you might get mail about 4 x a week.
