I love movies, but I just didn't get Goodfellas at all. Maybe it was because, with everyone saying how great it was, I was expecting too much. Or maybe it's because a lot of Scorsese's films are moral vacuums. I can cope with that if the characters are engaging----but Goodfellas was filled with loathsome human beings. Sorry, Arginald, Terry and any other fans.

It's certainly not because I dislike American films. Some of the movies from the States have been among the most mind-boggling of the last ten years. Being John Malkovich, Magnolia, Donnie Darko . . . .

I quite liked it

I even bought it a couple of weeks ago on DVD for the princely sum of ?3.

The little girl in it has to be the most annoying brat ever to appear on screen though. If she'd been mine, I'd have been running away throwing her behind me to the aliens.

The son should have died and the ending was absolute rubbish, but I thought it was ok. Better than expected.

Spielberg's War of the Worlds is really bad
The original version is a 100`s better by far .

cruise and is kids were annoying as hell + poor acting and bad rewrite of the script .
Its one dvd i would not have even if i got it for free .
