Don't be silly jimslip! They won't get community service. They'll probably get a Caribbean cruise or a safari holiday in Kenya.

The simple fact is that the perpetrators of this murder, even if they are charged and found guilty, will only face at worst a minimal sentence.

If however, the middle-aged man who was protecting his property had murdered one, or all, of these teenager vermin, then all hell would have broken out. We would witness the 'chav/pikey/mong defenders-at-all-cost' brigade charging into action with their state sponsored condoning of verminiods!

If we have laws then they must be applied equally and fairly in all situations. But the PC mob don't want this to happen. They believe that chavs/pikeys/mongs and vermin should be above the law!

Define chavs/pikeys/mongs and tell us how we can identify them and eradicate them. Should we sterilise their women so they can't breed?

They are brainless youths---no different to the punks of the 70s, the mods of the 60s or the teddies of the 50s. Put people into a pack and they will be brave and try to impress their mates. They are stupid, and should be punished; if directly responsible for the man's death, they should face severe punishment. But don't mistake dealing with the perpetrators of this crime with attacking some perceived underclass. Generalising about people is lazy. I'm sure it makes you feel better, and superior, but it doesn't solve anything.

OK, I went a bit OTT there. But it does annoy me that if teenagers commit a crime they are more likely to get away with it than if a middle-aged person was to commit the same crime!

The law be be applied equally irrespective of age, gender, background, upbringing and social class!

I'd make them wear short trousers and bri-nylon shirts, ankle sox and
sandals.
That would deter them.

I saw this on Sky News..very sad..his daughter wrote a letter to him on his death bed..the underclass who did this deserve to fry...anyone that kicks another human in the head deserves to fry...I blame sychophantic Chief Constrables...for fuck sakes why dont they appeal for more money to staff up the police stations..no doubt there were just a handful to police this sink estate...this govt spents billions on pointless campaigns overseas when the real war involves scum at home..

Three of the arrested teenagers have been charged with murder. Doesn't sound like a community service reaction to me.

No, instead they'll leave prison in ten years' time as very fit and highly
skilled thugs.

Yes and no doubt a deal will be done with the crown prosecution service where they will plead guilty to manslaughter and the murder charge is dropped. If this happens then they will only do a few short years in the slammer.

mcfister - from the footage I saw on the news, it didn't look like a sink estate to me.

planeterotica - I was thinking exactly the same thing myself. These scum are 15 and 16 year-olds, so no doubt the courts will be lenient with them.

They'll end up getting something like 5 years for manslaughter, which means that they'll be back out on the streets again before they're 20, probably doing the same thing again.

At which point there'll be a massive public uproar, with questions asked in the House about what went wrong with sentencing the last time !puke!
