If that is what I am considered, then so be it. Better than having a wardrobe filled with black or brown shirts, like a number of people posting here, it seems.

Wasn't all that in last Tuesday's Daily Mail leader? Along with a call for
forced sterilisation for anyone eraning less the ?25K?

Albert Pierrepoint, Britain's executioner. Always claimed it was a terrible job but someone had to do it. Absolutely loathed by Diana Dors who played a Ruth Ellis-type character in the 1950s who was executed for murder. She once visited Pierrepoint's pub, which was filled with mementoes of his previous occupation (might even have been called The Last Drop). Just the sort of person you'd want to carry out state-sponsored murder, I don't think.

No, I wouldn't have wanted Diana Dors to be an executioner, either.
